Methodology

Turn a result into something you can use in a conversation.

A result from either product describes one person at one point in time. Read against the role and the context, and talked through with someone who knows the person, it gives pointers you can act on. This page explains what each product looks at and how to read it.

Starting point

Person, role, context, decision.

Both products work within the same frame. A person brings a way of working, values that guide decisions and a typical response to pressure. A role makes demands. The context, meaning the company, the team, the market and the current workload, shapes how person and role meet. The decision is what the person then does.

A profile describes the person. It becomes useful when it is read against the role, the context and the decision, in a conversation with someone who knows them.

How a profile relates to a decision

A profile describes the person. The other three are read in the conversation.

  1. 1. Person

Working style, values, response to pressure

    The profile describes this.

  2. 2. Role

    What the position demands

  3. 3. Context

    Company, team, market, workload

  4. 4. Decision

What the person does with all of it

CORE Navigator

What the CORE report gives you to work with.

Own model
CORE Navigator is a psychometric instrument built on its own model. It describes how a person creates value as an entrepreneur and which values guide their decisions.
CORE Types
Four ways of creating value: Constructor, Operator, Rainmaker, Explorer. A profile is a blend of all four, with an intensity for each, rather than a single label.
CORE Dynamics
The values that guide decisions day to day, and how they shift under pressure.
Development
The questions are expert-reviewed and in active use. Feedback from that use goes into revisions.

Psychometric Assessment Suite

What a performance profile gives you to work with.

Self-report
The participant answers an online questionnaire about themselves on a personal link.
Competences under load
The questionnaire covers how a person applies working competences under load, in a business role or a sales role.
Target values, not a norm
Answers are compared with fixed target values set for the instrument and are not ranked against other people. The behavioural-style view is read relative to a reference group. The profile shows the result as a chart and a table.
A conversation starter
A coach interprets the profile with the person. It is a snapshot, meant to be repeated.

Limits

Where the meaning of a result stops.

Knowing the edges is part of using a result well.

Self-reported
A result describes tendencies and capacity as the person reports them. Performance shows up in the work and depends on role, context and management.
Not a selection tool
CORE Navigator describes the owner, not applicants. The Assessment Suite's instruments are framed for coaching conversations with a person already in a role, not for screening.
Not a diagnosis or a ranking
Neither product is a clinical or medical assessment, and neither ranks people against each other. The Assessment Suite sets answers against target values for the instrument and does not rank people.
Not a team report
Each result covers one person. A coach can read several side by side for a team conversation, but that is the coach's interpretation. Team and organisation analysis are planned and not available.
Not a decision
A result informs who keeps which responsibility. It does not replace a look at the actual work or the owner's decision.
Not connected to other systems
There is no public API and no connection to HR or applicant systems today.

Using a result

Questions that come up.

Is a CORE Type a fixed label?

No. A profile shows how strongly each of the four types is lived. The blend and the intensity matter more than any single type, and the report is meant to be checked against the person's real tasks.

Can I compare a CORE result with an Assessment Suite profile?

Not directly. The two products ask different questions and work on different models. A result from one is never used as evidence for the other.

Who sees a result?

In CORE Navigator, the person receives their own report, and a coach sees it when the coach invited the client. In the Assessment Suite, the coach who sent the link receives the profile and discusses it with the participant, who knows before starting what the assessment is for.

Results are personal data. In the Assessment Suite they are treated as sensitive personal data.

CORE Navigator publishes its methodology and report sections on its own website. For the Assessment Suite, we explain the method in conversation, instrument by instrument, because the dimensions and target values are not published.
